FAQ
Wholesale FAQs
Everything you need to know about applying for a Print Clever wholesale account, placing orders, payment, delivery and returns.
Applying for a wholesale account
Who can apply for a Print Clever wholesale account?
Our wholesale service is available to genuine retail businesses purchasing products for resale to end customers. Physical shops, independent ecommerce retailers, sole traders and approved social-commerce businesses may apply. Marketplace-only sellers are not eligible.
Can online-only retailers apply?
Yes. Independent online retailers can apply provided they operate an active retail website and meet our account approval requirements.
What information will I need to provide?
We may ask for your business and ownership details, company registration and VAT information where applicable, trading and delivery addresses, sales channels, evidence of retail activity, trade references and credit information. Additional checks may be required for fraud prevention, product safety, licensing or regulatory compliance.
How long does account approval take?
We aim to review applications within one week. Some applications may take longer if additional information or checks are required.
What happens if my business details change?
Please tell us promptly if your ownership, company status, VAT status, addresses, website, sales channels or business structure changes. We may need to review or reverify your account before accepting further orders.
Products and ordering
Is there a minimum order value?
No. There is no minimum order value for opening or repeat wholesale orders.
Do case quantities or maximum order limits apply?
There are no general case-multiple rules or maximum order quantities. Individual products or orders may still be subject to requirements shown on the product page or Order Confirmation, as well as stock, production capacity and licensing availability.
Are all products held in stock?
Our range may include stocked, made-to-order and preorder products. The relevant product page or order information will explain which arrangement applies.
When is my order confirmed?
Submitting an order does not mean it has been accepted. Your order becomes binding when Print Clever sends an Order Confirmation email. An automated website acknowledgement, payment instruction or account status is not an Order Confirmation.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Contact us as quickly as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We will consider requests received before production begins, but changes cannot be guaranteed. Made-to-order, personalised or bespoke products cannot normally be cancelled once production has started.
Will you substitute an unavailable product?
No. We will not substitute a product, design, size, colour or specification without your approval.
How do preorders work?
For proforma accounts, preorder stock or production capacity is reserved only once payment has cleared and the order has been accepted. Approved credit-account customers will normally be invoiced when preorder products are dispatched unless the Order Confirmation states otherwise. If a release is delayed, cancelled or discontinued, we will contact you about the affected products.
Pricing and payment
What wholesale discount do you offer?
Wholesale orders receive a flat 45% retailer discount from the approved recommended retail price.
Are wholesale prices inclusive of VAT?
Unless expressly stated otherwise, wholesale prices are shown in pounds sterling and exclude VAT and delivery charges. UK VAT will be added where applicable.
Can I set my own resale prices?
Yes. Any recommended retail price is guidance only. Retailers remain responsible for setting their own resale prices.
Which payment methods do you accept?
BACS or bank transfer is the standard payment method at launch. Use your registered business name as the payment reference so our Finance team can match the payment to your account. Card payments are not currently available unless agreed with Print Clever in writing.
Do you offer credit accounts?
Credit facilities may be available following approval by Print Clever Credit Control and, for new accounts, an Experian assessment. Approved new accounts may receive a credit limit of up to £10,000. Unless your Order Confirmation states otherwise, invoices are issued after shipment and payment is due 30 days from the shipment date.
What happens if an order exceeds my credit limit?
The order may be held for manual review. We will contact you to discuss the order, payment or available credit before deciding whether it can be accepted. Over-limit orders are not automatically accepted or rejected.
Production and delivery
How long will my order take to prepare?
Estimated production or dispatch times are approximately three business days for orders below £250, five to seven business days for orders from £250 to £999.99, and 14 business days for orders of £1,000 or more. Orders exceeding 1,000 units require a bespoke production schedule. Estimates begin once the order has been accepted and all payment, information and approval requirements have been met.
Where do you deliver?
At launch, wholesale orders are available for delivery to valid United Kingdom addresses only. Products must not be exported, offered or delivered outside the UK without prior written approval from Print Clever.
How much does delivery cost?
Available UK delivery charges will be shown during checkout or confirmed before your order is accepted.
How long does delivery take after dispatch?
UK delivery will usually take approximately one to two business days after dispatch. This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date.
Will my order arrive in one delivery?
Where an order contains stocked and made-to-order products, we will normally dispatch it once the complete order is ready. We may occasionally need to send more than one shipment. If we split an order for operational reasons, we will cover the additional delivery charge caused by that split.
Problems, claims and returns
What should I do if my delivery is damaged, incomplete or incorrect?
Inspect your order promptly and contact us with your order or invoice number, the affected product and quantity, clear photographs or video, photographs of the packaging and shipping label, and any available batch or tracking information. Visible damage, shortages or incorrect products should normally be reported within five business days of delivery.
What should I do if my order has not arrived?
Contact us if your order has not arrived within ten business days after the latest estimated delivery date.
How do I report a manufacturing fault?
Contact us promptly after discovering the issue and provide your order details and supporting photographs or video. Please retain the product and its packaging until we have investigated the claim and provided instructions.
Can I return products without contacting you first?
No. You must receive a Return Merchandise Authorisation, or RMA, before returning products. Unauthorised returns may not be accepted and you may be responsible for the associated delivery costs.
Can I return unsold or unwanted stock?
No. Wholesale customers do not have a change-of-mind return right. Unsold, slow-moving, seasonal or surplus stock cannot be returned.
What happens if a product is faulty or incorrectly supplied?
Where Print Clever confirms that products are faulty, unsafe or incorrectly supplied, we may repair or replace them, issue an account credit or refund the price paid for the affected products. We will pay or reimburse reasonable return carriage authorised in advance for a confirmed Print Clever fault or supply error.
Selling and promoting products
Where can I sell wholesale products?
You may sell through the physical stores, independent websites and social-commerce channels approved for your account. Products may be sold only to end customers.
Can I sell through Amazon, eBay or another marketplace?
No. Products purchased through a Print Clever wholesale account must not be listed, advertised, sold or fulfilled through third-party marketplaces.
Can I resell products to another retailer?
No. Wholesale products must not be resold or supplied to another retailer, wholesaler, distributor, buying group or marketplace seller.
Can I alter or repackage the products?
Products should remain in their original form and retail packaging. They must not be personalised, overprinted, altered, relabelled or repackaged without prior written approval. Retailer price labels or barcodes must not cover licensed branding, legal wording, warnings, product identifiers or traceability information.
Can I use Print Clever's product images and descriptions?
You may use the current product images, descriptions and marketing materials supplied or approved by Print Clever. Licensed assets must not be cropped, recoloured, retouched, adapted or combined with other artwork unless written permission has been provided. Any supplied copyright, trademark or attribution wording must remain visible.
Are there additional requirements for Warhammer products?
Yes. The Warhammer range is subject to a separate Brand Schedule covering approved sales channels, UK territory restrictions, release dates and embargoes, licensed imagery, product presentation and other licence requirements. Relevant requirements form part of the terms applying to Warhammer products.
